Our Statement concerning Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s Candidacy in Florida Congressional District 20
Residents should ask why a politician who has not built her political career in District 20 now believes she is the best person to represent it.
The ADOS AF Florida Chapter exists to empower and advance the lineage of Black Americans, descendants of U.S. chattel slavery, whose labor and achievements built the foundation of this nation. It is our mission to educate the public, engage voters, and collaborate with community leaders and policymakers to dismantle systemic inequities that perpetuate generational poverty and exclusion.
We affirm the right of ADOS to be prioritized in restorative policies—including reparations, targeted economic investment, and equal access to housing, education, healthcare, and employment—while strengthening statewide efforts in support of the national movement for reparations and justice.

Residents should ask why a politician who has not built her political career in District 20 now believes she is the best person to represent it.

We also publicly support the calls for broader accountability. The racist conduct in these chats did not emerge in isolation.

The ADOS Advocacy Foundation Florida Chapter warns that white supremacist rhetoric found in the Miami GOP chat is dangerous.
