Miami, FL — The Florida Chapter of the ADOS Advocacy Foundation strongly condemns the racist and extremist content revealed in a leaked Miami GOP group chat involving conservative student activists and a Miami-Dade Republican Party official. The Miami GOP group chat scandal exposes a disturbing pattern of racial hostility that demands swift and transparent action.

Reports indicate the chat contained racist slurs and pro-Nazi symbols. These messages raise serious concerns about the tolerance of hate within political organizations. The ADOS Advocacy Foundation Florida Chapter warns that rhetoric tied to white supremacist ideology is dangerous. History shows that such language often accompanies violence and discrimination against Black Americans. For this reason, the organization is calling for clear accountability from all institutions connected to those involved.

“This is not simply offensive humor in a private chat,” said Anthony Gilbert, Co-Coordinator of ADOS Advocacy Foundation Florida. “When individuals tied to political organizations joke about violence against Black Americans or praise Nazi imagery, it signals a troubling level of anti-Black hostility that cannot be ignored.”

Edward Shaw III, Co-Coordinator of the Florida Chapter, also emphasized the seriousness of the situation. “Political organizations and universities must respond with urgency,” Shaw said. “Student activists and young political leaders often move into positions of real influence. When racist rhetoric is allowed to persist in those spaces, it raises serious concerns about the type of leadership being shaped.”

The ADOS Advocacy Foundation Florida Chapter is calling for full transparency regarding the identities and roles of those involved in the Florida racist group chat. The organization also urges universities and political organizations to take appropriate disciplinary action where misconduct is confirmed.

In addition, the foundation calls on institutions to establish stronger safeguards to prevent extremist rhetoric from taking hold within student and political organizations.

“Accountability is essential,” Gilbert added. “Black Americans deserve to know that political institutions reject racism and take meaningful steps to prevent it.”
