As public debate around reparations and racial justice intensifies, the ADOS Advocacy Foundation has released a groundbreaking policy book offering a forward-thinking, data-driven framework for reparations specifically for American Descendants of Slavery (ADOS).

This comprehensive legislative roadmap arrives at a pivotal time when social safety nets are being threatened and communities impacted by the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow remain economically disenfranchised. This policy book provides a detailed set of proposals rooted in economic data, historical specificity, and actionable strategies that move the conversation beyond symbolic resolutions.

“Our communities need more than gestures—we need structured, enforceable policy,” said Yvette Carnell, President at the ADOS Advocacy Foundation. “This book is designed to meet the moment with clarity and rigor.”

Key Drivers Behind the Release:

  • Political Shifts: With rising voter disillusionment—especially among Black voters—political parties are being pushed to confront historic racial injustices with substance.
  • Legislative Engagement: The Foundation is currently in dialogue with lawmakers at the local, state, and federal levels to advance components of the proposed reparations framework.
  • Public Literacy on Reparations: Growing awareness around lineage-based reparations underscores the need for targeted, demographically specific solutions that distinguish ADOS needs from broader diversity policies.

The ADOS Advocacy Foundation will offer interviews, media briefings, and localized story angles to support coverage of the book’s release and its policy agenda.
